Creative and crafty horror people… The Doll House sequel is rolling along, and of course, more Murder Run reviews… Bam!

I have a little corner in my room, right by the window, that has my desk, my monitors and is my place to write stories and listen to music when I have the time. And I’m looking to decorate my little corner of bliss with what I like. I am not the type of person who thinks a Spartan atmosphere prevents distractions. My brain is the distraction, and when I decide to write and focus, I usually have no problem doing so. I actually like to have images, phrases, or art to inspire me. Hence, my search for decorations.

So, I turned to Google, and Google sent me to Etsy, and Etsy sent me to these pages, with these images:

Cool stickers for the laptop.

Crocheted dolls!

Cross stitchin’!

And 3D signage!

What do I choose? Help! Pretty cool what your interests can do for you. Here are a bunch of people, clearly passionate about horror, making something out of nothing, and sharing it with the world. Love it.

If you love this sort of stuff, I suggest you check them out. You just might find something for your wall.

DOLL HOUSE SEQUEL

The Doll House sequel is surprising me. The characters are taking me for a ride. That Olivia is the most surprising of the bunch. I’m loving it, and I know you will too. In case you missed it, the link to the book is below. 934 Amazon reviews and a 4.3 star rating. Get it!

MURDER RUN

Oh, and how is Murder Run doing? Raking in the four and five star reviews, that’s how. So, what are you waiting for? For the price of a coffee and a donut, muffin, cookie, whatever, you can have hours of terrifying entertainment. And let me know what you think. I can’t get better without your insight.

Horror stories and fun, all right here.

Oh, the weather outside is… weather. Winter blahs… reading, writing, and ugly Christmas sweaters. And calling all NetGalley reviewers!

I don’t know about you, but I am not a big fan of winter. Yeah, I’m Canadian, so what? I don’t like it. But, with most things I don’t like, I try to change my mindset, to turn a dislike into a neutral toleration.

What do I do to accomplish such an overwhelming feat? I read. I write. I watch films. When I’m not at work or hanging with my kids, that is.

Do any of you re-read books? I do. When I get stuck, and need something, I always revisit an old favourite, and it’s comfortable, seeing (reading) old friends and going along on their adventures. Comforting, like that old sweater in the closet, with the frayed cuffs, and holes, the one you won’t wear in front of company, but the first one you put on when you get home.

Lately, I’ve been reading John Sandford’s Virgil Flowers series, and I just started reading The Stand again by the master Stephen King.

In between the reading spurts, I’ve been writing the sequel to Doll House. And I wasn’t sure how it would go, but I knew there was a story there, and as usual, Olivia isn’t letting me down. I’m excited to sit down and write whenever I can. I expect, with how I’m going, that the book will be ready in the spring. And it’s going to be a doozy! Do people say doozy anymore?

NetGalley friends! Murder Run is still on the NetGalley site and will be available to review until the end of December… so, get on it would ya? The reviews so far have been very positive, and if you like fun horror, that kind of comes out of left field, and makes you laugh, cry, and check behind the doors, then this is the book for you! It’s climbing in the ratings on my Goodreads page, past Balance and past 4 Shots of Horror. Get a read on. Can’t wait to read what you think.

And here is an ugly Christmas sweater I’ve been eyeballing, but can’t justify paying that price…

Here is some Horror Holiday reading for you…

Who are you reading, that, in your opinion, is a relatively unknown horror author? I’m looking for something new to read… and, on a side, self-promotional note… Murder Run reviews are coming in hot!

I love, like love 80’s horror. To be compared to that most glorious era of horror, is well, glorious!!

The reviews can be read on Goodreads, and in December, a review of Murder Run will be featured on http://gumshoereview.com/ so be sure to check that out.

But really, I am in need of new reading material. So if you know of any obscure, but compelling, horror writer’s let me know. I’ll read them, and if I like them, I’ll review them.

Pick up Murder Run for yourself here:

Thanks for supporting the little guy! Have a great week, and be kind to everyone!
