The Good, the Bad, and the Fugly…
Fugly- Definition, verb, noun, adjective, versatile word that combines the words *uck with ugly.
The Good: If you watch the video, you’ll hear a guitar in the background. That is me playing it. I recorded my own track because I was getting copyright struck when uploading vids to TikTok and the Tubes. Let me know what you think of it… I’ll add a thumbs up thing-a-ma-bob here:
More good: I ran the long run yesterday and did it while breathing through my nose the entire way! Like what? No, no, it’s true. And my average heart rate for the run was 146bpm. Not once did I enter into the dreaded MAXIMUM heart rate zone. It was incredible how different a run feels when you’re not gasping for breath all the time. And, I only drank one bottle of water. Crazy!
The Bad: So, if you watch the video, you’ll notice, I got lost in the woods… yeah, running trails can be… confusing? For the directionally challenged such as me, I suppose. I was fine, it all worked out but it messed up my pacing average. So, instead of a 5min per km pace, I had a 5:20min per km pace. And I ended up with an end time of 01:58. I was hoping for a time closer to 01:50.Is that really so bad? No, not really, BUT if I hadn’t gotten lost, well, yeah, but I did so, oh well. Next run I won’t get lost… maybe.
The Fugly: Ok, so after my run, I was looking forward to some food and a couple of beers. You know what? The beers didn’t do it for me… not at all. I didn’t even finish the first one. What the hell? Beer is the golden nectar of the gods! But after my run, it wasn’t any better than drinking Apple Cider Vinegar. Does this mean I’m growing up? Impossible!
