I don’t know about you, but I am not a big fan of winter. Yeah, I’m Canadian, so what? I don’t like it. But, with most things I don’t like, I try to change my mindset, to turn a dislike into a neutral toleration.
What do I do to accomplish such an overwhelming feat? I read. I write. I watch films. When I’m not at work or hanging with my kids, that is.
Do any of you re-read books? I do. When I get stuck, and need something, I always revisit an old favourite, and it’s comfortable, seeing (reading) old friends and going along on their adventures. Comforting, like that old sweater in the closet, with the frayed cuffs, and holes, the one you won’t wear in front of company, but the first one you put on when you get home.
Lately, I’ve been reading John Sandford’s Virgil Flowers series, and I just started reading The Stand again by the master Stephen King.
In between the reading spurts, I’ve been writing the sequel to Doll House. And I wasn’t sure how it would go, but I knew there was a story there, and as usual, Olivia isn’t letting me down. I’m excited to sit down and write whenever I can. I expect, with how I’m going, that the book will be ready in the spring. And it’s going to be a doozy! Do people say doozy anymore?
NetGalley friends! Murder Run is still on the NetGalley site and will be available to review until the end of December… so, get on it would ya? The reviews so far have been very positive, and if you like fun horror, that kind of comes out of left field, and makes you laugh, cry, and check behind the doors, then this is the book for you! It’s climbing in the ratings on my Goodreads page, past Balance and past 4 Shots of Horror. Get a read on. Can’t wait to read what you think.

And here is an ugly Christmas sweater I’ve been eyeballing, but can’t justify paying that price…

Here is some Horror Holiday reading for you…
