The Cabin in the Woods was written by Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard. If you know their work, then you know this movie has to be awesome. And it was.
Joss Whedon, just to name a few, wrote the screenplay for The Avengers, created Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Serenity, I mean, I could go on forever with this guy’s credits, he’s really good.
Then there is Drew Goddard. He wrote the screenplays for The Martian and World War Z. He was the writer for many Daredevil episodes. Suffice it to say, this guy knows what he’s doing.
And these two geniuses wrote a movie together. A horror movie! And it’s, like, a bowl full of awesome.
